Ankle/ Foot Fractures
What is An Ankle/Foot Fracture?
Ankle and foot fractures are common injuries that could result from a range of mechanisms, such as twisting injuries, mechanical falls, to high-energy traumas. Fractures are described as disruption or “breaks” in a bone and have a variety of subtypes ranging from open, closed, incomplete, displaced, non-displaced, and comminuted. Treatment of ankle and foot fractures aims to restore joint alignment and stability to reduce the risk of post-traumatic arthritis
